Seems like actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza are making the most of an awards function to ensure they get some practice of the marriage ceremonies much before they actually tie the knot on February 3. According to insiders, the two have been preparing for a special act on stage for the upcoming Apsara Awards, wherein the duo will be seen tying the knot.
“All set for their real-life wedding, Riteish and Genelia will be carrying out a rehearsal of sorts and everyone will get to see a trailer of the real deal as the two will take their vows and declare their love for each other on stage as part of their act. A large number of Bollywood celebrities will join in, as part of the their baarat and will bless the couple on stage too,” confirmed an insider.
Elaborating on the performance, the source reveals that the entire act will emulate the story of their meeting and the romantic journey so far that has brought them to this juncture. “There are several other performances lined up as well, but Riteish-Genelia’s act has an emotional real connect with the industry, as both belong to the film fraternity,” added the insider. Both Riteish and Genelia are said to be quite excited about their performance too. “It’s too close to their real life and it’s almost like letting the world know about their love life which the two had kept under wraps so far, so both are excited and nervous too,” a source added. “What they are equally happy about is that there will be several seniors actors who will be blessing them too at the event,” informs the source.
The event slated to take place on Wednesday, will also have filmmakers Karan Johar and Farah Khan team up to host an awards show together for the first time.
