| 3 March, 2009 | GO's Website Name Registered | GeneliaOnline.in Domain Name was registered on this date. I became a fan of Genelia after seeing Mere Baap Pehle Aap in 2008. Saw JTYJN later. But when I had to search for info on her, I seriously found it lacking everywhere. From Mid 2008 till 2009, I was searching and trying to know everything about Genelia. By this time, I felt its time I launch my own Fan site for Genelia now. A dream, a passion was born this day. |
| 25 April, 2009 | @geneliaonline Created | GO's Twitter account got created. But it was not being put to much use coz the website was still pending plus didn't have much idea on how to proceed. |
| 5 May, 2009 | First News Update Posted | Took almost 1.5 months for me to create the website and wrote the first news update on GO. This was the start to what GO has become now. |
| 5 May - 25 November, 2009 | GO progresses | During this period, I tried to keep up with updates on Genelia, created the photo gallery and tried to keep the twitter account alive. Progress was not much but the site and the twitter account were now very much alive. |
| 26 November, 2009 | Genelia Joins twitter | Genelia tweeted from Ken Ghosh's account. I was online at that time and immediately replied via @geneliaonline asking her to join Twitter. She joined some 2 hours later and posted her first tweet. @geneliaonline was the first account she started following on Twitter. |
| December 18, 2009 | GO Forums Launched | Having interacted with so many awesome people on Twitter, it was the time to give them a platform to talk about G. GO Forums were born. |
| 26 November, 2009 - March 9, 2010 | GO Becomes popular | Thanks to Genelia joining twitter and following us, GO's popularity rose. I made some awesome friends in the process. Gave me a big boost to post even more updates. Site's Traffic jumped and @geneliaonline's follower count started jumping. |
| March 10, 2010 | GO Credit Day | With the help of so many people and Angel herself, GO was growing at a record pace. I wanted to thank each member and hence uploaded a credits page. Within 2 hours, Genelia thanked each and every member behind GO and my friends for it. |
| March 28, 2010 | Gang's Idea was born | Kripu DMed @geneliaonline at 11:54am [IST] with an idea of having a gang/club of G Fans. Idea was amazing but I didn't know how to implement it. Created an account @GOPTClub [GO power tweeters club] and me, Kripu and Sounak started using it. But it wasn't enough to get the community support. |
| April 3-4, 2010 | GO's Party and Videos Section Launch | GO's Party was organised on the forums via various quizzes and interactions with the members to celebrate Easter and the GO Credit Day. Dates were chosen as it was weekend and also by that time exams of our Gang were over! Videos Section was also launched on this day. |
| April 24-25, 2010 | My Birthday and GO Gang's Launch | Thanks to Kripu and other members from GO, My Birthday was celebrated in a big way. Infact I got blocked from Twitter for excessive tweeting coz of the thanks I had to type at midnight. G also wished me around midnight only. :D After seeing all this, I wanted to do something for all of them. Idea of Gang Struck me but this time I had better plans. Launched Gang Blog where All Gang Members would be able to share their views/thoughts. Created a Gang's Twitter Account( @GO_Gang ) but deleted later on and created @geneliaonline/go-gang list instead. This is one reason why Kripu was chosen as the Gang leader. |
| April 25-July 13, 2010 | More Power to GO and Gang | Gang was at its peak and so was GO. Lots of stuff were added during this period. Lots of updates and lots of love from Angel as well! One of the best periods of GO. Gang's popularity was spreading everywhere. Hehe! |
| July 14, 2010 | Genelia follows Gang | Genelia crossed 200K Followers and started a follow back trend. She followed Ajit, Harsh, SVRStudios and Later Vinay on Twitter. |
| August 5, 2010 | G's Birthday Efforts recognised by TOI | TOI mentioned about our celebrations for G's Birthday in their article. |
| August 16-18, 2010 | GO in Trouble/Shuts Down | I lost the will power to sustain GO anymore. I asked others whether I could hand over GO to someone else but no-one was happy with my decision. In frustration, I closed GO and deleted all the available data/accounts associated with it. Nothing was left. Members were sad/angry and G was confused as to where did @geneliaonline went. |
| August 18, 2010 | @genelia_online is created with a temporary site | Ajit, Srinivas, Sounak and Satya try to bring back GO under a new name and create a temporary site. [Doesn't exist anymore] Meanwhile due to I rejoined twitter as @jotu_24 thanks to the support from the awesome friends here. |
| September 16, 2010 | Gang Got Mentioned in News Paper | Genelia wrote an HT Article about the Gang and some of its members.. |
| October 8, 2010 | Gang Blog comes back | All this time, I was trying to bring back GO/Gang and other things to its normal form. During this time, I also got @geneliaonline id back but not with the old data. Just got the permission to rename @genelia_online to @geneliaonline. Still was a big relief to get the original ID back. Took some of my guilt. |
| December 18, 2010 | GO is Back | GO's Site is back in a brand new avatar with lot more features and in a totally new design. Videos Section got merged in the main site. Gallery was hosted on a brand new platform. Forums got upgraded to a different software. Site became faster neater and had better graphics than last time. All this was done on Shraddhas's birthday. A pledge was also taken that GO will never be shutdown/or abandoned no matter what happens. It will keep running. |
| April 25, 2011 | Gang Completes 1 year | To Celebrate 1 year of Gang, I am opening Gang for everyone. Now any G fan can call himself as a GO Gang Member provided he has joined GO Forums as well. [Forums are not required to join by the founding Gang Members.] |
