Genelia Online

Yes I am feeling rejuvinated. There are many reasons for it..leave it. Coming back to the point. Have you noticed some new things here? I mean the design? Yes, GO has been renovated a bit. You can call it as version 3.0 of the site. (Yes we changed the design 2 times before). This time, I have made sure both site and forum get their own logos (even though they are too simple and nothing miracular ). Both Forum and Site have now same color schemes and now you will feel at home whenever you switch from site to forum or forum to site.

There are some more changes under the hood which you may not notice at once. For example, Load the forum now in your mobile and it shifts to a mobile friendly format. One more change, now try loading the forum in your Iphone – Woah.a native Iphone interface! You will sure love it. Plus you can now follow our Site on Gmail via Gmail Buzz. Click on the Buzz Icon on the top right to the next of Facebook Icon. And now if you search for anything from the site, not only the search will be performed on site but also simultaneously on the forum and gallery as well giving results from all sections of site. And when Videos section will launch, search results will include the videos too! Cool Na?

But there’s lot to do more like Giving Gallery a new look (btw if you notice, we shifted Gallery to a new ubercool location) and Launching the New Videos section (common, how many times I have said this before? ). Here’s the roadmap of GO for future (Yay…I am too ambitious at times )

• Launch of New Videos Section (by End of February or March 2010)
• Gallery’s Facelift (Probably similar as the Videos section with the same features carrying the color scheme of the site)
• Individual Film Pages of each of Genelia’s Films
• Gallery’s Expansion (around 2000+ Pics need to be added – gosh!)
• Faster and more updates of Genelia – I miss too much of small news headlines about Genelia
• Expanding GO’s Team (currently only few members and are unofficial members)
• Adding More Ringtones from Genelia’s Films

Yes the list is long and very demanding. Expect changes soon as I need to push myself to implement them and expand GO and make it as the number 1 Genelia’s fan site ever.

And Now for the Bonus Update: Genelia is the new brand ambassador of LG Mobiles along with John Abraham and Abhay Deol. [This was confirmed when Genelia tweeted that she was shooting for ad with them and then 2 days later pics of John and Abhay appeared under the caption that they are shooting for LG Mobiles ad confirming the news. Ads should come out soon. Watch this space for more. ]

Since I was absent for past few days, here’s a quick recap of updates about Genelia which happened last week:

• Genelia grabbed yet one more endorsement deal and now she is the brand ambassador of Garnier Light. (a new product about to be launched in India) [Photo,Press and Ads are not yet out..have patience]
• Genelia attended the Rann Movie Screening. [Photos here]
• Genelia lost her phone’s data (sms, contacts and everything).
• Currently she is in Chennai shooting for Tamil remake of Ready.
• Genelia will soon feature in Cosmopolitian magazine’s and also on Man World’s Magazine (with interview) in March 2010.
• Genelia’s grandma birthday was on 23rd Jan. (OMG…my sis’s birthday is also on the same date)

Yes, that’s a positive move from Indian Film Industry to show full length feature films on internet legally taking down the piracy route. Mere Baap Pehle Aap(Genelia’s third Hindi Movie) is among the first of movies to be released on internet for online viewing legally by Shemaroo. It can be viewed on Youtube as of now. I didn’t informed about my past 1+ week’s absence from the online world though I informed about it on my twitter. Reason was that I had to shift to a new house so got busy with it. Well finally things have settled and now I am back to doing what I love to – posting about Genelia. Updates will follow from next post. Stay tuned.
